MASLD is characterized by the presence of hepatic steatosis in conjunction with metabolic syndrome, without significant alcohol consumption. It is strongly associated with liver-related conditions such as cirrhosis, hepatic failure, and hepatocellular carcinoma, as well as with extrahepatic diseases. Depression is a depressed mood or loss of interest in activities and the most common psychologic disorder.6 It is estimated that approximately 300 million people worldwide affected depression.This disease is associated with the incident risk of CVDs, and metabolic diseases, such as obesity and diabetes mellitus.
