1. TRANSPORTATION
HOW TO GET TO THE PRAGUE CONGRESS CENTRE

CONGRESS VENUE AND LOCATION: Prague Congress Centre

From the Václav Havel Airport

The distance from the Václav Havel Airport Prague is 15 kilometres and 28 Airlines provide 150–200 international arrivals daily.

By taxi

A taxi ride from the airport to the Prague Congress Centre will take approximately 30–45 minutes and costs about 25 EUR.

Carrow Taxi Service

We offer you the possibility to book a private taxi for your journey around the city. To book this service, please send an e-mail to info@carrow.cz to receive a special price below for participants of the congress with code WONCA2017.

Bus AE (Airport Express)

A special airport bus providing direct interconnection of air, rail and urban mass transit from 5:30 to 22:30, interval: 15 – 30 minutes, travel time: 33 minutes, fare: the regular PIT tariff is not valid, tickets are non-transferrable and single-trip, valid only on this particular line, purchase tickets from the driver. By public transport

You can also travel by public transport. Go by bus No. 119 to the underground station “Nádraží Veleslavín” and carry on to the station “Museum”. Then change to line C and go to the station “Vyšehrad”.

From the city centre

The Prague Congress Centre can be easily reached by metro Line C (red line) to the station “Vyšehrad”, the PCC is located just in front of the metro station. The journey from the city centre to the conference venue takes about 5 minutes.

From the Main Train Station

The Prague Main Train Station is situated on the metro station “Hlavní nádraží” - Line C (red line). You take the metro - direction Haje and go three stations to the station “Vyšehrad”. The journey from the Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží) to the conference venue takes about 5 minutes).

Tickets can be purchased in automatic machines at each metro station or at News-stands. The ticket costs 32 Czech crowns (approx. 1.25 EURO) and is valid for 90 minutes. Please note that you need to mark the ticket when you enter the metro/tram/bus for the first time.

PRAGUE PUBLIC TRANSPORT PASS

Complimentary passes for the Prague public transport will be available at the Registration desk in the Conference venue for each registered participant. The passes are valid in the conference days June 28 – July 1, 2017.

2. CONFERENCE

PRE-CONFERENCE (VdGM)

June 27-28, 2017, Kaiserštějnský Palace, Malostranské náměstí 23/37, Prague 1
Registration for the Pre-Conference is in the Kaiserštejnský Palace.
How to get there:
Metro Line A - go to Malostranská Station and then transfer to tram line 12, 20 or 22. Take any tram one stop and get off at station Malostranské náměstí.
Metro Line B - go to Andel station and then transfer to tram line 12, 20 or 22. Take any tram five stops and get off at station Malostranské náměstí.
Social Event: June 27, 2017 (same venue)

The Registration desk will be located on the 1st floor of the conference centre and will opened as follows:

BADGES

Participants will received the name badge upon registration. Each participant is kindly requested to wear the name badge when attending the Conference.

PROGRAMME / ABSTRACTS

Neither Programme nor Abstracts will be provided in the printed publications.
Everything will be available in the mobile application. We strongly recommend to download the mobile app and create your own programme before arriving to Prague. Both the Conference Programme and Abstracts will be available also on the websites.

PRACTICE VISITS

Practice visits are held on June 28th at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. local time and the duration of the visit is approximately 75 minutes. If you like to participate or if you have questions regarding the practice visit, please contact: practicevisit@guarant.cz

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

The certificates of attendance will be available in participants online registration profile after the conference.

The 22nd WONCA Europe Conference has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 15 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.”

3. SOCIAL POGRAMME

CEREMONY / WELCOME COCKTAIL

The Opening Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 17:00 in the Prague Congress Centre – Congress Hall - 1st , 2nd floor.
The Opening ceremony incl. the official part, opening plenary lecture, music performance and a unique show.
The Opening Ceremony will be followed by the LIGHT COCKTAIL (drinks – white wine, red wine, beer, soft drinks, and light refreshment)

GALA EVENING

The buffet gala dinner will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 20.00 (door open at 19:30). The dinner takes place in one of the most beautiful places in Prague – the Municipal House.
You are very welcomed to buy a ticket on-site at the Registration Desk upon your registration. Programme: official part, dinner buffet, live music band with solo singer.

WONCA RUN FOR HEALTH

You are welcomed to join the WONCA Run for Health which takes place on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 7:15.
More information you will receive at the Registration - INFORMATION DESK.
You can register there in case you will be not pre-registered.
The meeting point is in front of the main entrance to the Conference Venue.
