The city of Lisbon is ready to host the 19^th Wonca Europe Conference in 2014. Under the theme "New Routes for General Practice and Family Medicine" Portuguese Association of General Practitioners - APMGF - is preparing a conference to explore the new trends of the specialty. General Practice and Family Medicine should renew itself, to guarantee its future. And therefore warranting peoples' health care and patient safety.

We need to assure that community health needs are fullled and GP's are satised with their work. The foundation of 21^st century's health systems must be more than ever Primary Health Care.

The program will be related to 4 main areas: 

 

In 2014 APMGF will be 30 years old. We would very much like to commemorate the occasion together with our colleagues from all over Europe, and the world.
We want to celebrate the role of each family doctor in health systems. From Lisboa we would like to discover new routes for General Practice and Family Medicine.
