Margaret McCartney is a GP in Glasgow, and the author of The Patient Paradox, why sexed up medicine is bad for your health. She has won awards for her writing, and writes regularly for the British Medical Journal and the lay press, and broadcasts regularly for Radio 4's Inside Health. She is a keen blogger and tweeter (@mgtmccartney).
Her interests are in screening, evidence, risk, uncertainty, equitable healthcare and social inequalities.
